          Who are the National Electrical Contractors Ireland?        

NECI, National Electrical Contractors of Ireland, is a trade association formed to represent the majority of Electrical Contractors who have no voice when it comes to talks about Pay and Conditions. The initial steering group formed in 2008, was replaced by a National Council elected by the large attendance at the first AGM, held in February 2009.

NECI speak for electrical contractors, located the length and breadth of Ireland, on a national level on all issues which affect you & your business, e.g. Government bodies, PSA (Private Security Authority), FAS, NERA (National Employment Agency), CER (Commission For Energy Regulation).

NECI aims to ‘Serve Foster and Protect Our Members and Our Industry’, and its members are professional contractors, united in their concern about the future of the electrical contracting industry in Ireland and are committed to making a change for the betterment of our industry.

Our aims are:

·         To Stop the Unsustainable Wage Increase until proper structures & procedures are in place where all Employers have input into pay increases;

·         To Stop The Existing Registered Employment Agreement as this Agreement is fundamentally flawed in that there is no substantial representation for Employers;

·         To formulate a new and fair and transparent system to calculate the annual pay increase for electricians;

·         To Negotiate with NERA (National Employment Rights Authority) on the Employment Law Bill 2008;

·         To negotiate fair terms and conditions and allow all registered contractors the same opportunity to tender for government contracts;

·         To have input into Negotiations To set up A New Regulatory Body Which MUST Be Independent Transparent and Accountable.

NECI members are supported by:

·         Up to date information on industry matters and highlighting issues of concern for contractor on a national level;
